Facelift

A facelift, also known as a rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to improve the appearance of aging skin on the face and neck. It involves lifting and repositioning skin, muscles, and sometimes fat to create a more youthful look. The procedure can reduce sagging skin, smooth wrinkles, and address jowls and other signs of aging.

What it does:
A facelift aims to address signs of aging like sagging skin, deep wrinkles, and loss of facial contours.

How it works:
The surgeon makes incisions, often around the ears and hairline, to access the underlying tissues. The skin and muscles are lifted, and any excess skin or fat is removed or repositioned.

Recovery:
Facelift recovery typically involves some swelling, bruising, and discomfort, which can be managed with medication and rest. Sutures are usually removed within a week, and full recovery can take a few weeks to several months.

Results: Facelifts can provide long-lasting results, but the process of aging continues, so the results are not permanent.

Mommy makeover

A mommy makeover is a series of cosmetic surgeries designed to restore the body's shape and appearance after pregnancy. It typically involves procedures like breast augmentation, lift, or reduction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), and liposuction. The goal is to address the changes in the body caused by pregnancy and childbirth, including sagging breasts, loose abdominal skin, and stubborn fat deposits.

Breast lift with implants
A breast lift with implants, also known as augmentation-mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that combines breast lift and augmentation to enhance breast shape, size, and position. It's a popular choice for women seeking to lift, firm, and enlarge their breasts simultaneously.

Tummy tuck
A tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery that aims to reshape the abdomen. It involves removing excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen, and tightening the abdominal muscles. The procedure can improve the shape and function of the abdominal wall.

Liposuction with Brazilian Butt Lift
A Brazilian butt lift (BBL) involves liposuction as a key step. In this procedure, liposuction is used to remove fat from areas like the abdomen, hips, and thighs, and then that fat is transferred to the buttocks to enhance their size and shape. This dual approach allows for both fat reduction in certain areas and buttock augmentation, creating a more balanced and contoured physique.

Liposuction

Removes excess fat from targeted areas to sculpt the body. Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to remove excess fat from specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, or buttocks. It's not a weight-loss method, but rather a way to shape and contour the body by removing stubborn fat that doesn't respond to diet and exercise.

Fat removal: Liposuction involves using a suction device to remove localized fat deposits.

Body contouring: It's often used to improve the overall shape and appearance of specific areas.

Not a weight-loss procedure: Liposuction is primarily focused on reshaping and contouring, not significant weight loss.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

A tummy tuck, also known as an abdominoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery procedure that aims to improve the shape and appearance of the abdomen. It typically involves removing excess skin and fat from the abdomen and tightening the underlying abdominal muscles.

Procedure:
The surgery involves making an incision just above the pubic hairline and removing excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen. The underlying muscles are then tightened with sutures to create a more defined and contoured appearance. In many cases, liposuction is also performed to further refine the results.

Types:
There are different types of tummy tucks, including a full tummy tuck (which addresses the entire abdomen), a mini tummy tuck (which focuses on the lower abdomen), and a fleur de lis abdominoplasty (which includes an additional vertical incision for more extensive skin removal).

Benefits:
A tummy tuck can lead to a more defined waistline, improved abdominal shape and contour, and can address issues like loose or sagging skin, excess fat, and weakened or separated abdominal muscles.

Breast Surgery

Breast surgery encompasses a wide range of procedures, often performed for cosmetic purposes or reconstruction after breast cancer. Cosmetic breast surgery options include augmentation (enlarging breasts with implants or fat transfer), reduction (reducing breast size), and lifts (lifting sagging breasts). Reconstruction procedures can also help restore the breast’s appearance following cancer treatment.

Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure that increases breast size by placing implants, typically under the breast tissue or chest muscles. These implants, are inserted through incisions in the breast crease, under the arm, or around the nipple.

Breast Reduction
Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammaplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess breast tissue, fat, and skin to reduce the size and improve the shape of the breasts. It aims to achieve a breast size that is proportionate to the body and alleviate physical discomforts associated with large breasts, such as back pain and skin irritation.

Breast implant removal (explantation)
This is a surgical procedure to remove breast implants, either with or without replacement. It's often performed due to complications like capsular contracture, pain, or implant rupture. The surgery typically involves making an incision and removing the implant and surrounding capsule.

Breast Implant replacement
A breast implant exchange is a surgical procedure to replace existing breast implants with new ones. This can be done for various reasons, including complications with the current implants or a desire to change the size or shape of the breasts.

Cosmetic surgery is a branch of plastic surgery focused on enhancing a person’s appearance. It includes procedures that improve facial features, body shape, or skin texture for aesthetic purposes, rather than medical necessity.

The most popular cosmetic procedures for men include gynecomastia surgery (male breast reduction), liposuction, rhinoplasty (nose surgery), eyelid surgery, and hair transplantation. Non-surgical treatments like Botox and dermal fillers are also increasingly popular among men.

The best time to have a facelift is when you are healthy and have realistic expectations. Many people choose to schedule surgery in the fall or winter, as cooler weather makes it easier to recover discreetly at home. Ultimately, the right time depends on your personal schedule, health, and goals. Discuss your timing with your surgeon for the best results.
